My name is Tim Milgram, and I am a filmmaker living in Los Angeles. My background as a professional dancer, combined with my technical experience as a computer & multimedia engineer, has led me to find my passion for directing and cinematography.
My focus is capturing movement in a way that creates a visceral experience for the viewer, presenting the choreography in its truest form. Since 2012, I have directed, shot, and edited over 400 videos featuring dance, spearheading the new online trend of viral dance content with hundreds of millions of views across all channels. My work has frequently been featured on Buzzfeed, TIME, Billboard, MTV, Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America, and many others. I have created content for Mattel, Vogue, Capitol Records, G-Shock, Mania Jeans, and DanceOn Network.
Through these projects, I have found purpose in bringing the true essence of the dance community into the mainstream. Although my professional focus has shifted into film, I dance regularly and draw inspiration from choreographers and dancers I have admired since long before I looked through a lens.
